Steel-Line Garage Doors is an Australian manufacturer based in Queensland with a strong presence across the eastern states. Known for heavy-gauge insulated panel doors and a wide custom-colour palette, Steel-Line has grown into one of the top three Australian brands in our region. Common Steel-Line repair work: spring replacement on the heavier insulated Therm-A-Door panels (they are heavier than a standard panel so spring sizing matters), full opener service, individual panel replacement after hail or vehicle impact (a single panel can be swapped without replacing the whole door), gear and belt service on the older opener heads and weather seal replacement. Standard $185 service callout, parts and additional labour quoted before we proceed.

Steel-Line Designer sectional install from $1,990 (single) / $2,690 (double). Therm-A-Door insulated from $2,490 (single) / $3,290 (double). Custom timber-look from $3,690. Roller doors from $1,750 supplied and fitted. Commercial work and large openings quoted on-site. Every quote free, fixed and itemised.

Installation — what to expect

A Steel-Line sectional install runs three to five hours on a single, five to seven on a double (the heavier Therm-A-Door panels add some time to the spring tensioning). We measure on a first visit, confirm the colour from the current Steel-Line swatch board, order direct from the factory and book the install two to three weeks out. On install day we remove the old door, prep the opening, hang the panels, fit and tension the torsion springs to the panel weight, fit the opener, programme the remotes and walk you through the safety beam alignment.

Servicing schedule

Annual service recommended for residential Steel-Line doors, quarterly for commercial roller shutters. Our standard service ($185) covers track lubrication, spring tension check (especially important on insulated panels), bolt re-torque, roller and hinge inspection, weather seal check, safety beam alignment, opener limit/travel-memory verification and a remote test.

Warranty cover

Steel-Line residential panel doors carry a 7-year limited warranty on the door itself and 2 years on the opener (some commercial doors carry 10 years on the panel finish). We add our lifetime workmanship warranty on top — install failures are on us, no charge. Warranty claims handled direct with Steel-Line on your behalf.

Why we install Steel-Line

Steel-Line panel doors have a noticeably heavier gauge and a deeper rib profile than a lot of imported equivalents — they look and feel built to last. The custom-colour range is one of the widest of any Australian door brand, which matters for heritage builds in older Toowoomba and Warwick suburbs. And the local factory means lead times are often shorter than imported alternatives.
