About B&D

B&D Australia has been making garage doors in Australia since 1955 and is the original Panelift sectional door brand. The range covers residential Panelift sectional, Roll-A-Door roller doors, custom timber-look, insulated panel doors and the commercial Firmadrive line, plus the Controll-A-Door opener family and the heavier Apollo and Tilt-A-Matic motors. We have been installing B&D for years and have full dealer access to documentation, current stock and warranty channels.

B&D repairs and parts

Our service trucks carry the common B&D replacement parts — Controll-A-Door opener heads, drive belts and gears, capacitors, torsion springs in all common cycle ratings, Roll-A-Door axle assemblies, hinges, brackets, weather seals, TB-series remotes and the specialty fittings the brand uses on its installs. Most B&D repair callouts are completed inside the first visit. Standard $185 service callout, parts and additional labour quoted before we proceed.

Pricing guide

New B&D installations vary by model and door size. Standard residential opener replacement is $495–$895 depending on the model (Firmadrive 65 sits at the lower end, Smart Phantom and Diamond PD at the upper end). A full new Panelift door plus opener install starts at $1,890 (single) and $2,490 (double) for the Designer and Statesman ranges, custom timber-look from $3,490. Roll-A-Door installs from $1,650 (single) supplied and fitted. Every quote is free, fixed and itemised — no surprises after the install.

Installation — what to expect

A typical B&D Panelift install runs three to four hours on a single, four to six on a double. We measure on a first visit, lock in the colour and panel profile from the current B&D swatch range, order direct from the B&D factory and book the install for two to three weeks out (often sooner). On install day we remove the old door, prep the opening, fit the new tracks, hang the panels, fit and tension the torsion springs, install the Controll-A-Door opener head, programme the remotes and walk you through the wall button and safety beam alignment before we leave.

Servicing schedule

B&D recommends an annual service for residential doors and quarterly for commercial. Our standard service ($185) covers track lubrication, spring tension check and rebalance, opener belt/gear inspection, safety beam alignment, limit switch verification, remote test and a written service report. We log every B&D service against your address — when the next tech rolls up they have the full history.

Warranty cover

B&D doors carry a 24-month manufacturer warranty on residential ranges (12 months on some commercial), and Controll-A-Door openers carry 24–60 months depending on model. We add our lifetime workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer cover — if our install ever fails, we come back and fix it at no charge to you. We handle warranty diagnostics, replacement and reporting back to B&D direct.
