Dalby Service Hub

Garage Doors Dalby — Western Downs Rural & Commercial

Dalby is the gateway to the Western Downs — a strong agricultural town with a mix of established residential, large rural blocks and big commercial shed work. We run Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles, Tara, Jandowae and Cecil Plains together as a single Western Downs region and book site days that cover multiple jobs at once.

Our Western Downs service area

We run Dalby as the anchor town for everything west of Toowoomba — Chinchilla 80km up the Warrego, Miles another 50km out, Tara south through the brigalow country, Cecil Plains down on the Condamine floodplain, plus Jandowae, Bell, Kaimkillenbun, Macalister, Brigalow, Warra, Wandoan and the smaller settlements in between. It's a big region, mostly broadacre cropping, cotton and grazing country, with Dalby itself a solid working town of about 13,000.

Instead of pretending we live next door, we're upfront about how we cover it — Dalby is on a weekly site-day from the Toowoomba workshop, and when bigger jobs are booked we'll stack a Chinchilla or Miles run on the same trip so you're not paying for half a day of windscreen time. The trucks come loaded for the whole region — springs, cables, rollers, motors, weather seals, common door panels, gate motor spares — so most jobs are sorted in one visit without a second trip back.

Residential garage doors in Dalby

Dalby town blocks are mostly 700–1,200m² with single or tandem garages — older 1970s-80s brick veneers through the centre, plus newer estates pushing out toward Drayton Street and the western side past the showgrounds. Most of what we replace in town are tired B&D Roll-A-Doors from the original build, or first-generation sectional doors that have done 20+ years and the springs have finally given up.

Standard residential sectional doors start from $1,890 supplied and installed for a single, $2,490 for a double. Insulated panel doors (good investment out here — Dalby summers regularly push 38°C and the garage doubles as a workshop) run $400–$800 over standard. Colorbond roller doors in the full Colorbond colour range from $1,490 single. Free measure-up across town.

Rural and acreage shed doors

This is where the Western Downs work really differs from a Toowoomba install. We do a lot of oversized roller doors and sectional doors on machinery sheds, hay sheds, header sheds and workshop bays across Chinchilla, Miles, Tara, Cecil Plains and the rural blocks around Dalby. Common sizes are 3.6m, 4.2m, 4.8m and 5.4m wide, with heights up to 4.5m for header and tractor clearance.

Industrial roller doors from Steel-Line, Gliderol and Centurion go in over the bigger openings, typically with three-phase or single-phase commercial motors depending on what's wired to the shed. We also do the smaller personal-access doors alongside the main openings, plus weather seal upgrades for sheds that take the full force of the westerly dust season. For graziers and croppers running solar bores and off-grid setups, we pair the gate side with Centsys solar-powered automation so there's no need to trench mains down to the front of the property.

Commercial work across the region

Plenty of our Dalby and Western Downs work is straight commercial — ag dealerships, freight depots, council workshops, contractor yards, grain handling sheds. Heavy-duty industrial roller doors, high-cycle commercial sectional doors, dock seals, bollards and full automation packages. We work in with builders during fit-out and handle ongoing service contracts for sites that need scheduled maintenance to keep insurance compliant.

Driveway gates, farm gates and automation

Dalby town gates lean toward sliding aluminium or steel on automation, generally Centsys D5 Evo or FAAC 740. On the rural blocks the story changes — long farm driveways, dual-leaf swing gates with solar-powered Centsys automation, GSM intercoms tied to the homestead 200m back from the road. Sliding cantilever gates over 6m on the bigger entrances. We do the gates, fab the frames, fit the motors, set up the remotes and intercoms, and come back for service when needed.

Repairs and after-hours service

Standard repair callout is $185 plus parts. Common faults — broken torsion or extension springs, snapped cables, off-track doors, motor failures, dead remotes, blown safety beams — are sorted same-visit because the parts are on the truck. Out-of-hours emergency cover runs across the whole Western Downs seven nights; surcharge is flat and we quote it on the phone before we leave the depot.
