Centurion repairs and parts
Common Centurion repairs: control board failure after a lightning strike, dead 12V backup batteries (12–18 month service life in Toowoomba heat), worn drive gears on the D5 Evo, snapped rack teeth, failed obstacle sensors and Polo (remote) battery and re-pairing work. Every truck carries the common Centurion spares — control boards, drive motors, batteries, rack, Polo remotes and the SMARTGUARD/NOVA accessories.
Pricing guide
Centurion D5 Evo supplied and fitted from $1,895 on a new install (motor, control board, battery, two remotes, safety beams, gate-end stops, programming). D10 Turbo from $2,990. Vert-X swing pair from $3,490. Spares: D5 Evo control board $545, replacement battery $145, Polo remote $79.
Installation — what to expect
A new Centurion D5 Evo install on an existing sliding gate takes a half day: bolt on the operator, fit the toothed rack to the gate, install the limit magnets, run power, mount the safety beams, programme the control board to the gate length and pair the remotes. A full new-gate-plus-motor install is a one or two day job depending on civil works.
Servicing schedule
Centurion gate motors need an annual service — they live outside in weather. Our $185 service covers rack and pinion inspection, drive gear lubrication, battery health (and replacement at 12–18 months in the Darling Downs heat), control board diagnostics, obstacle sensor calibration, limit verification and remote test. Strata and rural property owners typically book annual.
Warranty cover
Centurion motors carry a 24-month manufacturer warranty on the operator, separate cover on the control board and battery. Our lifetime workmanship warranty covers our install work. Centurion warranty claims handled direct with the Australian distributor on your behalf.
Why we install Centurion
Centurion gate motors are robust, well-documented and supported by a deep Australian parts network. The D5 Evo is the standard residential slider for good reason — quiet, fast, reliable, and the control board diagnostics make troubleshooting straightforward for any factory-trained tech. We have been a Centurion dealer for years and have the manufacturer training to back the installs.
