Garage Door Repairs
Garage Door Off Track Repairs — Same-Week Across the Downs
The door is hanging crooked, one side has dropped, rollers are out of the vertical track, or the door is jammed mid-travel and won't go up or down. You may see bent track sections, a snapped cable hanging loose, or scrape marks on the door panels.

Likely cause
Most off-track jobs come from one of four causes: a vehicle bump (even a low-speed nudge from a 4WD bullbar), a snapped lift cable that lets one side drop, worn rollers that finally pop out, or an obstruction the door tried to close on. Once the door is off track, every cycle does more damage to the panels and tracks.
What we do to fix it
We support the door safely, release tension if needed, straighten or replace bent track sections, fit new nylon or steel rollers, replace damaged cables in matched pairs, re-align the door in the opening, re-balance the springs, and re-set the opener so the auto-reverse triggers correctly. If panels are damaged we quote for replacement at the same visit.
Typical turnaround
Same-day or next-day in most Toowoomba and Highfields jobs. Outlying suburbs typically within 2–4 business days.
One in-house multi-trade team — no subcontractors
Every job is completed by our own technicians. We're a family-owned, locally-owned business with the door fitters, gate fabricators, motor specialists and electricians all in-house, so the person who diagnoses your problem is the person who fixes it. No middle-men, no finger-pointing, no "we'll have to send someone else" — just one team accountable for the whole repair, backed by our written workmanship warranty.
Frequently asked questions
Can I push my garage door back on the track myself?
Please don't. The springs are still under high tension and the cables can whip when you move the door. If a panel is bent it can also crease further. Leave the door alone and call us.
Will I need a new door?
Most off-track repairs save the door. We only recommend replacement when multiple panels are creased, the top section is split, or the tracks are bent beyond straightening.
How much does an off-track repair cost?
Straightforward re-tracks start around $280–$450. Cable, roller and minor panel work is quoted on inspection — we always confirm the price before we start.
Why did the cable snap?
Usually frayed strands from age, rust from condensation, or a sudden shock load (hitting an obstruction). We replace cables in matched pairs because the second one is rarely far behind.
Do you cover Highfields, Westbrook and Oakey for emergency off-track work?
Yes — every Downs town we list as a service area. Toowoomba CBD and the immediate suburbs are usually same day.
