Garage Door Repairs
Insurance Garage Door Repairs — Darling Downs Approved Reports
Your garage door has been damaged by a vehicle, storm, fire, attempted break-in or vandalism, and your insurer wants a written quote, photos and a cause-of-damage statement before they'll authorise the repair.

Likely cause
Insurance jobs are 90% paperwork, 10% repair. Assessors need consistent information formatted the way they expect it: itemised parts and labour, GST broken out, before photos, a clear cause-of-damage statement, and a make-safe option if the door can't be left as it is.
What we do to fix it
We attend, photograph the damage, write up the cause of damage in plain language, itemise the repair, and email the quote in PDF form ready to forward to your insurer. Once the claim is approved we book the work, complete it the same way as any other repair, and provide a paid tax invoice for your records.
Typical turnaround
Quote and report typically within 2 business days of our site visit. Repair turnaround depends on parts availability — usually 1–4 weeks once your insurer authorises us to proceed.
One in-house multi-trade team — no subcontractors
Every job is completed by our own technicians. We're a family-owned, locally-owned business with the door fitters, gate fabricators, motor specialists and electricians all in-house, so the person who diagnoses your problem is the person who fixes it. No middle-men, no finger-pointing, no "we'll have to send someone else" — just one team accountable for the whole repair, backed by our written workmanship warranty.
Frequently asked questions
Do you charge for the insurance quote?
We charge a small site-visit fee that's refunded against the repair cost if you go ahead with us. Most insurers reimburse this as part of the claim.
Will my insurer accept your report?
Yes. We work regularly with all the major Australian home and motor insurers and we know exactly what they need.
What if the damage is from a car backing into the door?
That's normally claimed against your motor insurance, not your home insurance. We provide the same report either way.
Can you make the door safe before the claim is approved?
Yes — we can secure the opening as a separate make-safe job and your insurer almost always covers that immediately.
Do you deal with the assessor directly?
Happy to. Give them our number when you log the claim and we'll handle the technical conversation.
