A snapshot of recent garage door, driveway gate and custom fence work across Toowoomba and the wider Darling Downs. Every job below was done by our own techs — no subcontractors — with parts and motors we stand behind. We've pulled together the location, the door or gate type, the scope of work and the brand we fitted so you can see what your own job might look like.
Most of these were everyday residential jobs across Toowoomba, Highfields, Westbrook, Glenvale and Oakey, plus a handful of custom gate fabrications and rural-acreage installs further out toward the Lockyer Valley and Western Downs. Highfields
Supply and install of a new B&D Panelift sectional door with a Merlin MyQ smart opener, safety beams and a back-up battery. Old tilt door removed and disposed of, new tracks and seals fitted, full operational test on completion.
Surfmist Colorbond finish to match the home, brush seals on all four edges to keep the western dust out. Single afternoon install — homeowner had the car back in the garage before dinner.
Oakey
Replacement of a 20-year-old failed roller door with a new Steel-Line domestic roller in Woodland Grey. ATA GDO-6 opener fitted, safety beams installed, springs and barrel matched to the door weight.
Tight headroom in the workshop made the roller the right call over a sectional. Job completed in half a day including removal of the old door and a full clean of the opening.
Toowoomba — 21 Skye Court
Custom-fabricated aluminium horizontal slat sliding gate with a Centsys D5 Evo motor, photo beams, vehicle loop and a Centsys MyTrons receiver pairing four remotes. Gate runs on a galvanised track set into the driveway.
Powder-coated charcoal to match the home's roof and window frames. Solar-ready wiring left in the column in case the owners decide to add a panel later.
Toowoomba — 13 Moncrieff
Sliding driveway gate fabricated to match the existing fence line, fitted with a Nice Robus motor, photo beams and a wireless keypad on the entry side. Gate frame in aluminium with vertical slat infill.
Designed to suit a sloping driveway — gate post columns set in deep concrete footings to handle wind load off the escarpment. Fitted in one day, commissioned the next morning.
Toowoomba — 126 Mary St
Pair of custom wrought-iron swing gates on a heritage Queenslander. Centsys VANTAGE swing arm motors hidden inside the brick piers, intercom-ready conduit pulled back to the house, and remote pairing for four cars.
Hand-finished black powder-coat to match the existing fence panels. Hinge posts cored into the original brick piers without disturbing the heritage façade.
Toowoomba — 11 Benjamin St
Custom tubular steel sliding gate on a galvanised in-ground track, paired with a Centsys D5 Evo motor and full safety beam set. Wireless keypad on the entry pier, four remotes paired on commissioning.
Powder-coated satin black to lift against the rendered fence. Sized to suit a two-car driveway with room to swing a trailer in.
Toowoomba — escarpment block
Vertical slat steel fence run along a sloped boundary, fabricated in-house and powder-coated to match the existing driveway gate. Posts set in concrete to handle exposed wind off the range.
Detailed to step neatly down the slope — no awkward triangular gaps along the top rail. Paired with a matching pedestrian gate on the side return.
Toowoomba
Aluminium horizontal slat privacy fence to a courtyard boundary, fabricated and installed to match an existing driveway gate. Powder-coated finish for low maintenance in Downs weather.
Slat spacing tuned for privacy from the footpath without choking the breeze through the courtyard. Installed in a single day.
Highfields
White horizontal slat aluminium fence panels to a pool surround, designed to comply with current pool fencing rules. All hardware concealed, no climbable footholds, self-closing pedestrian gate fitted.
Powder-coated Surfmist to match the home's render. Built to span an irregular boundary without losing the clean horizontal line.
Across the Downs
Our service ute on a typical day — fully stocked with B&D, Steel-Line, Gliderol, Merlin and ATA spares, Centsys and Nice motor parts, springs, drums, cables and remotes. Most repairs completed first visit.
We carry the common spares for every door and motor brand we install. If we can fix it on the spot, we will — no return-visit fee tacked on.
